  • Selection of Right Examination:

Before you start to prepare for SSC exams. You must have complete information about the exam. You should visit the official website of SSC and collect all important information about SSC exams. Study the educational qualification for different exams and select the exam which best suits your educational qualification and age limit also.

  • Know your syllabus and collect necessary resources:

After selecting an exam write down the syllabus of the exam in detail also, know the exam pattern. According to the syllabus, collect learning resources books. Thousands of books are available in the market but you do not need to purchase all books. We recommend the following books that you should have on your bookshelf.

  • Plan your studies:

Once you have collected your study material, it’s time to plan your study. You do not have to study 8 hours a day it is not the quantity but the quality of study that matters. Even you study 6 hours a day but you study with full concentration that is more than enough. When you study, avoid smartphones and TV. You should study regularly do not miss a day because regular study is a key to success.  According to your learning rate set a target that you have to complete in a certain number of days.

  • Time management skills:

Time management is key to achieve success in competitive exams for that you should learn Vedic math and other shortcut technique to solve problems in math. Math is the most time-consuming subject if you can manage time in math it will benefit you greatly so that you can invest that time to answer questions in other sections of the paper.

While deciding the sequence of solving questions you should first solve questions, which consume less time first, and then attempt other questions.

  • Read an English Newspaper daily:

To build vocabulary and writing skills read the English newspaper daily if you find any unknown word write it down in your pocket diary. Find its meaning in the dictionary find its synonyms and antonym, keep that diary in your pocket daily revised it whenever you have spare time. To improve writing skills give yourself a topic of competitive exams essay and start to write on it collect information about it from books and the internet and try to write it. Read different essays on the same topic and see how you can improve it by adding your own information.

  • Give time to every subject:

The common four subjects for SCC exams are English, Maths, Reasoning, General knowledge. If you study for 6 hours a day then you should give time to every subject, you should not study one subject the whole day because it will make study more boring and you will forget the things you learn easily. On the other hand, if you keep updating all subjects on regular basis it will make your study interesting.

  • Revision:

You should revise what you study every Saturday and Sunday if you find some questions very hard you should mark them for review and move ahead you should not waste too much time on one particular topic or question. You should make a different copy of hard questions and revised them regularly.

  • Test yourself:

You should test yourself by solving a mock test on the internet solving the previous year’s question paper. Now day’s number of mobile apps is also available for GK. You can improve your GK by solving mock tests on mobile.

  • Preparation for Physical Efficiency Test:

The candidates have to give the Physical Efficiency Test in case of some exams like Constable-GD, CAPF, and SSC CGL. In SSC CGL, the certain post requires Physical Efficiency Test like sup inspector in CBI or NIA.

You should practice running 1.6km in 15 minutes and cycling 8km in 30 min for the male candidates while for the female candidates you should practice running 1km in 20 minutes and cycling 3km in 25 minutes. Your stamina will not increase in a single day you should practice running and cycling every morning without any lapses. Don’t forget to do the necessary yoga and exercises to keep you fit and fine.

  • Preparation for interview:

To prepare for an interview you should watch mock interviews available on YouTube. You can also you can refer to some books having title sure success in interviews. You can talk with your seniors and teachers who have faced such an interview request them to share their experience with you.
