1. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana(KVPY)

  • Eligibility for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana
  1. Students who are studying in class 11th, 12th, and first year in bachelor’s degree education in basic science stream, all are eligible to apply for this scholarship exam.
  2. Students who are pursuing their bachelor’s degree education from an open university or under a correspondence education system are not eligible for this scholarship exam. It means desired students for this exam must pursue their education in the regular bachelor’s degree program.

  • Eligibility and Mode of KVPY Exam

Before going to apply for this exam you must know essential information about the mode of this exam, this exam is divided into three intervals/streams i.e SA, SX, and SB. Let’s try to get more details about this stream.

  1. SA – Students who have passed out from class 10th and are eligible or enrolled to get admission for class 11th in the basic science stream, can apply for the KVPY aptitude test. Through this mode of exam students who are going to be eligible for the fellowship must provide a learning certificate of class 11th. If such successful students will get admission in basic science(B.S, B.Sc with Maths, B.Sc Statistics, B.Sc General, etc) for bachelor’s degree education that time they will receive a fellowship. The total amount of this fellowship will be 5,000/- Rs Per month or 20,000/- Rs per year.
  2.  SX – Students who have cleared class 11th exam and are eligible or enrolled for class 12th, all are considered to be eligible to apply KVPY exam through SX mode. If such kinds of students are successfully passing the KVPY exam, then they will be eligible for fellowship during their bachelor’s degree education. Here one thing is important that this fellowship is applicable for those students who get admission in the basic science stream for a bachelor’s degree. The Fellowship amount will be the same as given above.
  3. SB – All the students who have cleared the class 12th exam and are eligible or enrolled for the first year of bachelor’s degree education in the basic science stream are considered to be eligible to apply KVPY exam. Such students have to face this exam and once they will get succeed, They will receive a fellowship for their bachelor /Master’s degree education. Here fellowship amount for a master’s degree education is 7000/- Rs. Per month Or 28,000/- Rs per year.

Apart from all the above things, there are some add-on benefits under this exam for those students who have secured 60% marks in academic sessions, like a National science camp invitation with travel expenses and local hospitality.

  • KVPY Exam Format.

SA Stream Exam. (Total Marks – 100, Time – 3 Hours)

  1.  Mathematics – 25 Marks.
  2.  Physics – 25 Marks.
  3.  Chemistry – 25 Marks.
  4.  Biology – 25 Marks.

SB/SX Stream Exam ( Total Marks – 160, Time- 3 Hours)

  1. Mathematics – 40 Marks.
  2.  Physics – 40 Marks.

2. National Talent Search Examination (NTSE)

It is the second prestigious National level scholarship exam for school students, Which is conducted by The National Council of Education Research and Training i.e NCERT.

Students who are learning in class 10th only can apply for this exam, this exam goes to conduct in two stages i.e Stage 1 and Stage 2.

  • Eligibility Criteria For Stage -1 (State Level) NTSE Exam
  1.  Students who wish to sit for the NTSE stage 1 exam, all should be students of learning in class 10th.

  3. Student of Any Private/Government school in India, Who is learning in class 10th can apply for this exam.
  4. There is no restriction on domicile certificates for such students who belong from Another state/ Union Territory of India and learning class 10th in a different state.

  • NTSE Stage- 2 (National Level) Exam Eligibility Criteria

Those students who have cleared the stage- 1 exam successfully, are considered to be eligible for apply the stage- 2 exam.

Apart from these criteria students who are learning abroad also can apply for the NTSE exam, Here such students have no need to sit for the stage- 1 exam. On the basis of 9th class marks, such students can apply directly for stage – 2 of the NTSE exam.
